Gayton Thorpe, Norfolk. Reconstruction of Roman Villa.

I have just revisited an earlier reconstruction I created as a black and white line drawing and added colour to it, for it to be used in the new displays in the Boudica gallery in Norwich Castle Museum.

I shot the video below on 26th August last year 2006 while visiting the re-excavation of the villa. It was wonderful to stand within the walls of the villa that I had drawn a reconstruction of about 10 years ago. I did not think I would ever get to see the mosaic floor that was published in the 1920s.
